Feeling Like an Imposter? Here’s How to Start Showing Up Anyway

Do you have drafts gathering dust in your Notes app? Have you rerecorded the same story over and over and still never posted it? Maybe you’ve been “working on” your launch for… months now?

Same. Been there. Still there sometimes.

In this post (and podcast episode!), I’m talking about the big, messy fear behind all of it - imposter syndrome - and how I’m learning to push past it without faking it.

Because here’s the truth: that “Who am I to do this?” spiral? It never fully goes away. Even now, I’ll post something and think, “Why would anyone care what I have to say?” But I keep showing up. And you can, too.

Here’s how:

1. Start small and stay consistent

You don’t need a fancy video campaign or perfect email funnel. Post a quick story. Share a lesson you learned. A behind-the-scenes photo. Small actions build your confidence.

2. Talk to one person, not the whole internet

Picture your best friend—the one who hypes you up—and speak directly to them. It’ll feel more natural and less performative.

3. Create before you scroll

Avoid comparison spirals by creating your content before you start consuming everyone else’s. Protect your creativity.

4. Remember your why

Is it for your kids? Your freedom? Your purpose? When fear creeps in, reconnect with that anchor. Write it down. Keep it visible.

Here’s the truth: your voice doesn’t have to be the loudest. It just has to be yours. And that’s enough.

So if you needed a sign to start before you feel “ready,” here it is, friend.

Your story matters - even if it’s messy. Especially if it’s messy.
